Well this weekend is your chance to witness it with first Hunter Valley Airshow in Cessnock on Saturday and Sunday.
Paul Bennet Airshows is behind the Cessnock Airport event, which has been held once before in Maitland in 2017.
"We do so many shows around Australia and the world, but didn't have one at home," Mr Bennet said. Hunter Valley Airshow gives us an opportunity to pool all our resources and put on one hell of an airshow."
But airshow spokesman Andy McLennan said the first event was nowhere near as grand as this one.
It combines so much in one event. It's the Easter Show of aviation.

"That one was only an airshow, this one has as much on the ground as in the air," he said.
Mr McLennan said with the way ticket sales were going, organisers were expecting 10,000 people across the two days with attendees from all over the state and even a few interstate.
The event includes five hours of airborne action each day from impressive aircraft such as historical warbirds, jet fighters and Paul Bennet's Wolf Pitts Pro - one of only two of its kind in the world.
"It's the highest performing aerobatic byplane in the world," Mr McLennan said.
And it will need a strong performance when it is jumped by a motocross bike this weekend.
There will be plenty more aerobatics and jaw-dropping stunts plus Defence Australia has come onboard, presenting the F-18 Hornet, P-8A Poseidon, Hawke 127 and PC-21 during the show.
On the ground, there will also be rides, a motocross display, aircraft displays, wine tasting, street food vendors, vintage fire trucks, military vehicles, paper aeroplane contests and flight simulators.
"It combines so much in one event," Mr McLennan said. "It's the Easter Show of aviation."
Mr McLennan said he believed there was such interest in the event because of the "romanticism of aviation".
"World War II planes people see in movies," he said. "This is an opportunity to see them in person."
Gates open at 9am with the airshow starting at 10:30am.
Parking is free. Pilots wishing to fly into the event should visit the Hunter Valley Airshow website.
