It's the newly incorporated NSW Outlaw Karts Club first race meeting and club secretary Jonathan Koop-Folkess said was excited about the prospect of getting a competitive race schedule underway.
"This is absolutely awesome", he said.
"We expect this to open the door to more people to participate and grow the club and everyone is welcome to come out to Kurri Kurri Speedway to experience our racing."
Kurri Kurri Speedway Club president Peter Campton welcomed the new club to the venue.
"The club (Kurri Kurri Speedway) encourages community participation and looks forward to making the venue available to NSW Outlaw Karts," he said.
With a common go kart frame offering the protection of a roll cage, high back racing seat and safety harness, the greatest appeal comes in the form of the sprintcar styling including the huge sprintcar style top wing.
This Saturday's event is the opening round of the 2019 Robert Guy and Son Series with racing set to get underway at 10.30am.
Round two of the series is scheduled for April 27 at Kurri Kurri Speedway.
