Hosted by Balloon Aloft and Roche Estate the family event featured hot air balloons lighting up their burners in the dark, choreographed to music.
In addition to the Skywhale, the heart shape balloon, the Nudie balloon and the Sherrin football also took to the sky.
Balloon Aloft marketing manager Michelle Willis said the organisation was overwhelmed by the success of the event.
"It was fantastic. It was a sell-out crowd of 7000 people at Roche Estate," Ms Willis said.
"There was an incredible display of 14 hot air balloons including the very unique Skywhale and the Roche balloon which is the biggest in Australia.
"The whole night was really spectacular. We had a laser show and fireworks which was a fantastic end to the night."

There was also a night market offering Hunter Valley food, wine and hand-made crafts, musical performances, and more.
"Everyone had a fantastic time. All the feedback on social media has been incredibly positive. We are actually having a Night Glow in Mudgee," Ms Willis added.
"Otherwise, we will wait and see for another Night Glow in the Hunter Valley but no set plans yet."
It is the second time Night Glow has touched down in the Hunter region with a previous event in 2017.
