Every Sunday, families are invited to drop into the art gallery for free art activities inspired by the exhibitions on display.

Art gallery activities are designed for kids of all ages, and as a family you can all join in and get creative.
Each activity takes about half an hour to complete.
Art Sunday is staffed by qualified art teachers.
The workshop is designed to encourage parents and children to add to their experience of the gallery by accessing hands-on activities in a family friendly environment.
Children cannot be left unattended during Art Sundays.
Wigglebots at Maitland Libraries
It's time to discover Wigglebots, also known as bots that can draw.
In this introductory robotic activity, make a motorised robot that jiggles and wiggles as it draws.
Scribble, spin, race and draw - the possibilities are endless.
Parental assistance is required for younger children.
The program is suitable for ages 5 to 14, and there is no cost to attend.
It will be at Thornton Library on Wednesday, April 17, from 10.30am; and at East Maitland Library on Wednesday, April 24, at 2.30pm.
Super science at the library
Power a light by lemon battery and more.
Electric lemons? Walking water? Are they possible? Get ready for amazing science experiments in this hands on activity.
Discover how to power a light by lemon battery, make water walk and uncover the secrets of oil and water when you make your own lava lamp jar. Includes a special take home experiment.
The free program will be available for budding scientists aged 5 to 12 at Maitland Library on April 26 and 27 at 10.30am.

Active programs at Maitland PCYC
Keep your children active during the school holidays courtesy of a range of programs at Maitland PCYC.
Programs include trampolining (April 15, between 3pm and 5pm), Hip Hop creative dance for children 5 years and older at $25 (Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 11am and 12pm), and bootcamp for those 9 years of age and older at $10 (Wednesdays at 3pm).
There is also a range of other skills to learn at Maitland PCYC during the holidays, including music and sewing lessons.

Holiday education and fun at Maitland Gaol
Dig for Gaol Treasure: During the mini tour, children see and hear about some of the interesting things that have been found at Maitland Gaol on Tuesdays, April 16 and 23, at 11am.
They will discover their inner archeologists too as they dig in tubs to find treasure.
Each child earns an archaeologist certificate.
Cost is $10 for a child and $5 for an adult.
Bookings are essential, program suitable for children aged between 5 to 12 years.
Snitch's Easter Egg Hunt: join in the fun with the Gaol's first Snitch's Easter Egg Hunt.
On April 18, at 9.30am and 1.30pm, children will be able to search for eggs and complete a word puzzle.
Families are welcome to remain on site and complete Snitch's Gaol Exploration self guided audio tour by downloading the Maitland Gaol app.
Bookings are essential and limited spots are available over the two sessions.
Cost is $10 per child and $5 for each accompanying adult.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult or concession.
