While the women will look to continue their unbeaten start to the season and go five from five.

The Saints three teams are at home, with the seniors playing Killarney Vale at 2pm and women's and reserve grade teams taking on Lake Macquarie at noon and 10am respectively on the expanded and lush Max McMahon survace.

Maitland's senior team are yet to win a game and a depleted side lost by 66 points to Singleton at Rose Poitn Park on Saturday. There were some good news with the reserves led by a host of ever-green veterans recording their first win beating the Roosters 9.13-67 to 2.3-15.

The women are going from strength-to-strength and were 84-point winners 13.12-90 to 1.0-6 to sit third, equal on points with fellow undefeated sides Killarney Vale and Wyong Lakes and Terrigal Avoca.

Maitland are third on percentage despite amassing 519 points in four games and conceding just 30.

Slow starts and turnovers continued to plague the Maitland Saints men and they paid with a 17.13-115 to 7.7-49 loss in their local derby.

The Roosters were always going to be a tough challenge at home but, with Maitland fielding a vastly understrength line-up due to several key players "managing their workload" at Groovin' The Moo, the young Saints outfit found the pressure coming from their bigger-bodied opponents difficult to contend with.

The backline, led by Dean Notman and Rob Eddy, were terrific in turning back attacks but turnovers through the centre of the ground saw the ball come back in just as quickly.

Rising star, Wally Pankhurst, proved to be difficult for the opposition to contend with up forward but full use of the dominant forward presence of Moose Norton and Jai Rory was not successfully achieved and the gap by half-time had just about put the game out of reach.

The Saints showed what they could do in the last quarter though when they started to put together their own brand of tempo footy but it was too little too late as they went down by 66 points.

In the women's clash the Saints' Ladies fought out a tough battle between two undefeated teams and, with only 15 players available due to other commitments and star forward Sarah Burns hobbled with a leg injury, the Ladies pulled off a remarkable 84 point win to demonstrate the depth of talent across the Maitland squad.

It was a welcome return from Kayla Moke and with great first games from Sophie Milton and Lauren Turner, the dominance of Sarah James in her natural half-back position and the ball-winning ability of Lou O'Donohue , the Saints were far too strong for their opponents on the day.
