It's one of many popular activities in store for families at the annual Tocal Field Days in the Tocal agriculture college precinct.
The animal nursery is filled with a range of farm favourites and there will be llamas who will be busy hosting a kissing booth.
Those not afraid of a llama's lips will hold a piece of carrot in their mouth and lean forward for a smooch and vegetable exchange.
But that's not all. Families will also be able to step into the shoes of a dairy farmer and have a go at milking a cow by hand.
It's not how they do it today - there are too many cows to make that sustainable, but it is how they used to do it in days gone by.
There will also be a billy boiling competition, livestock demonstrations, Country Women's Association scones, a fresh produce stall where families can meet a farmer, cheese making demonstrations and fishing, to name a few.
The Bake or Burn competition for hospitality students, hosted by Slow Food Hunter Valley, will take place today. There will be preserving demonstrations over the weekend.
Tickets are $18 for adults, seniors are $15 on Friday and $18 on Saturday and Sunday.
There is no cost for children younger than five years of age.
Children between 5 and 16 are $2 each.
Parking is available at the grounds.
