Members will vote on a motion to push for urgent assistance for the dairy industry as well as have their say on a range of other matters including the need for rural businesses to have access to drought assistance.
There will also be an urgent motion put forward about the troubled Murray-Darling Basin, which the CWA says is a potential water crisis, and the quality of drinking water in regional communities.
"The motions delegates will be discussing at this year's conference reflect the diversity of our membership and the issues of concern to their communities. These are issues of the highest priority for our membership," NSW CWA president Annette Turner.
"The CWA of NSW takes its advocacy role very seriously and each successful motion will shape our lobbying efforts for the year ahead."
About 800 people will attend the state conference in Albury from May 6 to 10. It marks the 97th time CWA members have met to discuss and debate the issues they will tackle.
A new president will also be elected during the conference to lead the group for the next three years.
Mrs Turner has been instrumental in speaking out about the drought and the plight of farmers and their communities.
"It's been such an honour to lead the CWA of NSW and the hard-working and dedicated members who I have such enormous respect for," she said.
"To be able to travel around the state and meet so many of them has been a highlight and to represent this organisation in advocating for what's important for rural and regional Australia is a privilege.
"I look forward to welcoming the next president of the CWA of NSW who I know will derive the same pleasure and satisfaction from the role that I have. It's an exciting new chapter in our history."
Governor of NSW Justice Margaret Beazley, who has recently taken on the role, will open the conference.
