Police said the male and three females made off with $17,000 worth of items in one incident earlier this month.
The group went back to the store on Sunday afternoon, and in 15 minutes, filled shopping bags with various goods.
Staff approached the group, who then ran off, dropping $3000 worth of items on the way out.
Police said the four came back later that day and tried to steal another $4000 worth of goods, which they dropped after being approached again.
Police believe the offenders have committed similar thefts in other David Jones stores and also suspect them of committing other stealing incidents in the Stockland Green Hills centre.
Police have identified two women, aged 21 and 25, they wish to speak to in relation to the events.
Any information that may assist police should be reported to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
