The production by Frank's Fantastic Fairy Tale Theatre was part of Maitland City Council's Staging Colours Program, which co-incided with Maitland Slow Food Market last Thursday.
Frank's Fantastic Fairy Tale Theatre is a recently established portable community puppet theatre founded by Maitland man Frank Oakes who first encountered puppets as a child and has always wanted to work with them.
Between March and May, Staging Colours, an open mic stage, was installed as part of The Levee's Autumn #Changingcolours theme. The stage aimed to encourage local creatives to add to the vibrancy of the space through their own colourful and unique styles.
Maitland City Council's Place Activation Officer David Graham said the program encouraged creativity through performance in the heart of Maitland.
