The German restaurant chain will give away the free treats from 11am on opening day.
Located in The Courtyard, The Bavarian will accommodate 400 guests. The company behind it, Rockpool Dining Group, has created 45 jobs.
Rockpool chief executive officer Thomas Pash said he was thrilled to bring The Bavarian, and jobs, to Maitland.
"Our Bavarian restaurants have a large and loyal following in NSW and we're thrilled to be bringing our first destination to Maitland," Mr Pash said. "We're targeting new recruits who live locally, know the area, the community and will have a good rapport with customers."
The menu includes plenty of German flavour including pork knuckle, crackling pork belly, classic and gourmet sausages, shared platters, and schnitzels. There will be 20 beers on tap, including imported favourites Lwenbru, Franziskaner, Stiegl, Spaten and Hofbru in sizes up to the litre steins.
