MAITLAND residents might need to pack the popcorn when visiting the city's pool next summer - if councillors approves a proposal for a 'Dive-In Cinema'. Liberal councillor Mitchell Griffin put forward for the notice of motion for the 'dive-in' cinema at the city's pool at a meeting in February. The concept is based on similar programs currently in use at Blacktown and Cumberland Councils. In other news: The Bavarian to officially open at Stockland Green Hills on May 29 As part of these programs, Council would host a number of under the stars cinema experiences at the local pools. Patrons would bring floating devices such as tubes or floating chairs to the pool to sit in while watching a movie on a big screen.
