Well look no further, the newly opened Alpha Pet Spa in Maitland can have your furry friend looking pawfect in no time at all.

The new venture is headed up by pet lover and groomer extraordinaire Samantha Ashcroft, an experienced and award winning groomer who after 18 years in the industry has launched her own service for local four legged customers.

Alpha Pet Spa caters to cats and dogs and can take care of basic grooming needs, express service for those in a hurry, deluxe grooms or perhaps a little change of colour to the tail.

As a dog owner herself, Sam takes pride in her ability to work with the patience and care needed, particularly for those cats and dogs who might be a little apprehensive.

"It's important to take some time to read the animal and use the right technique to assure them so that their visit is comfortable," she says.

"Some pets have had bad experiences with other groomers or may be generally more anxious in new situations so I spend the time needed to let them relax,"

With separate crates for waiting customers, owners can drop off their pet, head up High Street for a coffee and come back to beautifully presented pooch or puss.

Open from Tuesday to Friday between 9am and 3pm or on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, bookings are advised and can be scheduled online at www.alphapetspa.com.au
