The Irish band is bringing its California desert-inspired music and imagery to Australasia, beginning in November in New Zealand.
If the setlists replicate what U2 did two years ago, a full-album performance of the 1987 album "The Joshua Tree" will be sandwiched between a brief opening selection of other classics and an encore set of additional songs.
The band hasn't been completely on holiday since wrapping up the previous "Joshua Tree" tour. Six months after that wrapped, they returned to arenas in the US and Europe for the six-month "Experience + Innocence" tour, a more typical melange of old and new material.
They'll start in Auckland on November 8, before heading to Australia for one show each in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth.
They'll then hold gigs in Tokyo and Seoul.
