"I organised a trial match for last night against a second division club, Belmont Swansea," coach Mick Bolch said.
"I rested a couple of the senior players, but I want to keep the routine going.
"The comp is so tight - first place is on 20 points and eighth is 14, so a bad result or two can see you slip right down.

The Magpies, currently fourth on 17 points, have their FFA Cup clash with north coast side Boambee at Speers Point next Saturday to fit in first.
Then it will be be back to NPL action with a game on Sunday, June 16 when they are away to struggling Valentine.
