Nexus Power Comets posted their highest score of the season to defeat the winless Tolsaf Cranes 54-39.
Hills continued their undefeated run against Hinton Hotel, but both teams were kept to their lowest scores of the season.
The 32-14 loss slips Hinton from second to third on the ladder.
They were leap-frogged by Club Maitland City, who defeated the George Tavern 39-26.
Customs House Hotel had the bye.
Hills are all but certain to finish minor premiers, but the remaining three finals positions are still anyone's guess.
Hinton look most likely to secure one of the spots, but CMC, Customs House and Nexus Power Comets have jostled for the other two positions all season, with goal difference all the more important in the remaining six games.
