Hunter Valley police are reportedly searching for a driver who left the scene of a crash in Kurri Kurri.
It is understood a car was travelling along Mitchell Avenue about 1.30am on Thursday when it hit a power pole at the intersection of Lang Street.
At approximately 0145 this morning we were activated to a persons trapped motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Mitchell Avenue and Lang Street Kurri Kurri.
"Arriving on scene, emergency services were confronted with a motor vehicle resting on its roof on the footpath after colliding with traffic lights," a statement from Cessnock District Rescue Squad said.
The female driver allegedly fled the scene, while the male passenger remained with the car. He suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Anyone with information on the woman's whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Emergency services were also called to a crash in Singleton overnight.
The motor vehicle accident occurred before 8pm on Wednesday and one man suffered chest and lower leg injuries in the crash.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called in to fly a 41-year-old man to the John Hunter Hospital. It is believed he is in a stable condition.
The two incidents follow a busy few days for police and paramedics on the region's roads.
On Wednesday a truck crash closed Newcastle Link Road at Cameron Park for more than five hours.
Emergency services were also called to a crash on Hebden Road in Muswellbrook, about 2.30pm Tuesday.
A truck had left the road, crashed through a fence and rolled onto its side in a nearby paddock. The driver managed to walk away unscathed.
