St Mary's scored three tries to take a 12-0 lead against the Tamworth visitors after just six minutes.
Wings Seamus Keegan and Matthew Guy's tries were punctuated by one to fullback Liam Dalibozek and it seemed how far St Mary's as the forwards led by prop and captain Harry Whitfield, Ethan Butterfield and Callen Burgess had Farrer on the backfoot.
But their blistering start unravelled almost as quickly on the back of some strong runs by the Farrer forwards and a brilliant formance by their half-back Trent Taylor who scored his side's first two tries and played a key role in the third to give them a 16-12 lead at half-time.
St Mary's scored first after the break through Butterfield and Thomas Cant's conversion game them an 18-16 lead.
Both sides had a player sent off, but Farrer scored the next 16 points as St Mary's bombed four tries.
