We Care Road Trip organiser Anne-Marie Best said she was yet to lock in a donated bus and driver for the September trip and was appealing to transport companies for help.
Ms Best said Grace Coaches had generously donated a bus and driver for the past two trips, but the company was unavailable to take part in September.
This will be the third time a bus load of supporters departs the Hunter to travel to a drought-stricken area.
The past two trips went to Coonabarabran and to Moree.
Both injected more than $40,000 into several towns.
