That's exactly what happened when husband and father Arthur 'Arty' Cox disappeared on May 20, and the unwavering support has continued since news of his death emerged this week.
His wife Rachell expressed her heartfelt thanks to the community for their care and consideration during this difficult time.
"I am thankful for everyone for trying to help find him and thank you to everyone for all of the messages of sympathy and support at this heartbreaking time," Mrs Cox said.
Mr Cox, 47, of Owen's Gap near Scone, was found with his vehicle on the family's large property among rocky and hilly terrain on Tuesday. Police conducted a land and air search of the property after he was reported missing.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
