Perhaps you are just curious about the night sky and how Earth fits into the wider solar system.
Newcastle Astronomical Society will host a free workshop on the Hunter River Matiland riverbank on Monday, July 8.
They will share fun facts about The Milky Way and the wonders of space.
The educational fun will begin at The Levee from 6pm, and continue to approximately 9.30pm.
They will use a variety of astronomical devices to view the wonders of the night sky.
If you have your own telescope you can take it with you too.
All are welcome.
Interested participants are reminded to dress warmly as the temperature is expected to drop as the night progresses.
