The day has come a long way in the past few years, having previously been staged at the land council grounds at Metford.
"Four NAIDOCs ago we had it inside in the hall because of the weather," Mindaribba CEO Tara Dever said.
"We had a dozen stallholders, now we have 67 all with interactive activities."
The event was one of several events held around the city during NAIDOC Week.
Ms Dever said the week had been fantastic.
"The march [of existence] was really well supported," she said.
"It's events like these where we start to see change.
"We've seen a lot of non-Aboriginal people. As soon as you get people mixing together all those little stereotypes go away."
Ms Dever said the events were particularly great thanks to a grant the land council received from Aboriginal Affairs NSW.
