The Disability Trust, has recently expanded its services into the Hunter Region.

The Trust believes passionately in working collaboratively with people with disabilities and their families to provide the best possible standard of care and is a well established care provider, recognised as one of the leading disability organisations in NSW and the ACT.

To date, The Disability Trust has 45 years' experience, over 1600 employees and more than 4000 clients.

The Trust strives for services and supports that are centred around people and that enhance quality of life. Dedicated to the health, well-being and safety of all of its participants they are working hard to ensure that these values and commitments are at the forefront of the move into the Hunter region.

Executive Manager Tracy Wright commented,

"The Disability Trust is all about Inclusion so as an organisation we really focus on our relationships and engagement with the community to support people with disability to participate and belong.

"We are committed to providing the best services to our client network to help people achieve their goals. We are excited to finally be a part of the Hunter community and to set the precedent in high standards within the disability sector".

The Disability Trust aims to work alongside its participants and staff members to ensure individual needs are met within the services provided. This includes working collaboratively and in partnership with the community to link people into mainstream services wherever possible as well as engaging and actively listening with all members involved in the NDIS support and planning process.

As part of the new transition, The Disability Trust is engaging a highly skilled workforce within the new Hunter Region.

This includes well trained direct support and clinical staff as well as ensuring all administration and managerial staff have a high level of expertise and knowledge in key areas of the industry and services being offered.

The Trust is committed to ensuring that the needs of its residents and individual supports are met in accordance to industry standards.
