Slow Food Hunter Valley is hosting a Talking Dinner with author Patrice Newell who will speak about her book Who's Minding the Farm?
Ms Newell has researched best practices for farming across the globe, which culminated in her new book. She will speak about her knowledge of sustainable farming and the concept of promoting new ways of thinking.

The evening will take place at Bread and Water Cafe on Wednesday, August 21 and offer a three-course menu filled with produce from local farmers.
Canapes: blini with horseradish cream and caramelised onion; sweet potato with dill mayo chargrilled capsicum; pappadum with spicy egg.
Main: chunky lamb, rosemary and red wine ragu pie with garlic infused roast vegetable topper, served with brussels sprouts and carrots.Vegetarian option: mushroom risotto.
Dessert: orange syrup cake with cream and pickled spiced oranges.
Copies of the book will be available to buy at the event.
Tickets are $60 for Slow Food members and $65 for non-members.
