For Club Maitland City it is the chance to put the disappointment behind them of two close-run shots at a spot in the grand final over the past two seasons.
The dominant team of the past decade Hills will be looking to secure back-to-back premierships after claiming the minor premiership with three rounds to spare and going through the regular season undefeated.
They have been such a great team for so long and to keep on improving is just such a tribute to them.
- Kim Starkey
The George Tavern will not feature in the major semi-final for the first time in four years, but managed to advance to the preliminary final after a 39-30 win in the elimination final against Nexus Power Comets.
Maitland netball president Kim Starkey said Hills had taken their game to a new level this season.
"I think overall A-grade has evened up with all the teams improving, but Hills are just at another level this year," she said.
"They have been such a great team for so long and to keep on improving is just such a tribute to them."
