The bi-annual Branxton Truckies and Partners Truck Show attracted a record crowd of 350, a record number of 40 trucks and a record $8800 raised for cancer research.
The event was held on Saturday at Miller Park Branxton - a final boost to donations of $500 coming from Miller Park Bowling Club.
"I was totally surprised at the roll up - the number of people who came from all parts of the Hunter and Central Coast and the number of trucks on show," Bob said. "We were only expecting 17 trucks and a couple of hundred visitors."
Money raised will go to Hunter Medical Research Institute specifically for cancer research. "I think part of the reason for the strong crowd was the fact that almost everyone in some way has been touched by cancer and that resonates with so many people these days," he said.
The next event will be held in 2021 - one of the highlights under discussion a convoy for cancer through Branxton's main street.
