Principal Kim Dudgeon said the school community had been collecting plastic lids for the project since Term 2.
"It supports our ongoing commitment to recycling in the school," she said.
"It's a wonderful initiative that celebrates what can be achieved by the community working together.
"I'm very proud of them."
Ms Dudgeon said the school was aiming to finish the collaborative artwork by the end of Term 3, adding that the project had a variety of benefits for participating students.
"This project has big ticket items for us; it includes recycling, community involvement and engagement for all students with a variety of needs," she said.
