After placing second at the NSW state championships in June, the team travelled to Brisbane last weekend to participate in the Federation of International Sports Aerobics and Fitness National Championships.
Principal Stuart Wylie said the result was a testimony to the Year 5 and 6 girls' hard work, the dedication of their coach, teacher Emily Gibbs and the support and encouragement of the girls' parents.
"This is a fabulous effort by an amazing group of young ladies who have worked incredibly hard to achieve their dream after placing second in the NSW finals.
"Going on to beat 12 other teams from around the country including the team that took out the NSW title. An experience the girls will never forget.
"We are enormously proud of the team.
"It's not just talent, effort and fitness that bring success, but teamwork, personal and group motivation.
"Pushing themselves in these areas is a great lesson for any area of endeavour in the future, and wonderful role-modelling for our other students."
