Toranafest is a free semi-annual event hosted by the Hunter Valley Torana Club celebrating the Holden Torana and in support of charities such as Ronald McDonald House foundation, Dog Rescue Newcastle, Donate for life and Maitland Men's Shed.
"Come on down for a good time and have a look at one of Australia's iconic historical cars," club manager, Pete Morris said.
Toranafest originated years ago in Newcastle where Australian Entertainer, television presenter and radio announcer, 'Maynard', challenged the Hunter Valley Torana Club to bring more Toranas into the hunter region and they did just that.
This year's festival takes place on September 14 and 15 and both days will be full of fun.
Attendees will celebrate four decades of operation making them the oldest Torana club in Australia and will also be celebrating 40 years since the Holden Dealer Team A9X won Bathurst by six laps.
Day one is the infamous Shannon's Super Cruise.

This sees a convoy of more than 220 of the Hunter region's Toranas begin their drive at Club Maitland City in Rutherford at around 11am.
They will continue their drive through to Morpeth, Hinton, Wallalong, then along Clarence Town Road to end at Tocal College for a two hour lunch stop around midday.
They will then make the drive back to Maitland and stop at Club Maitland City.

That night they will be having a special sold-out dinner where attendees can chat and listen to special guests talk about that special day in 1979.
Special Guests include:
- Jim Richards, the Supercar Hall of Fame inductee with 8 wins in Bathurst
- Bev Brock, the former wife of Peter Brock, an integral part of Holden through the years
- Joe Felice, the former manager of the Holden Motorsport through the 60s and 70s
- John Sheppard, the manager of the Holden Dealer Team in 1979
- And Neill Burns, the Holden Dealer Team engine builder in 1979.
Day two is the Ansen's Toranafest Show-n-Shine at Maitland Park.
This event is from 9am to 3pm and attendees can look around at all models of the Torana with approximately 460 Toranas on show.
It is estimated that the total value of all cars on display will be around 40 million dollars with some of the cars being half a million individually.
There will be food, trade and merchandise stalls, an auction, a large sculpture and much more.
Visitors are asked to bring a can of dog food for Dog Rescue Newcastle or a donation for one of the other charities represented.
Ronald McDonald himself will attend the event so all the children can meet him.
