The Hunter Junior Rugby Union held its grand finals in Nelson Bay last Saturday.
Seven grand finals were held on the day with Maitland taking out three age groups, the under-11s, under-12s and under-16s.
It was an all Maitland under-11 grand final with Maitland also making the under-10 and under-15 grand finals.
The Blacks again increased the number of junior players taking part in their award winning programs this year.
- Under 10s - Merewether Carlton 14 defeated Maitland Black 7.
- Under 11s - Maitland 19 beat Maitland Black 14.
- Under 12s - Maitland Black 31 defeated Nelson Bay 12.
- Under 13s - Nelson Bay 26 defeated Wanderers 21.
- Under 14s - Merewether Carlton 24 defeated The Waratahs/Wanderers 17.
- Under 15s - Lake Macquarie 36 beat Maitland 12.
- Under 16s - Maitland Black 15 beat Merewether 7.
