The vivid work was painted by Maitland's own four-time Bald Archie winner James Brennan.
The local artist spent nearly two terms working on the mural which depicts a bold, playful and bright solar system and world map.
Teacher Philip Burgess said the mammoth mural, which spans over a whole wall, was inspired by his passion for teaching and geography.
"The children absolutely love it. We've loved having James here during the process," he said.
"Our principal was initially a bit hesitant but it's turned out amazing. We are absolutely honoured to have James do this for us. It's been great for the kids."
The mural includes an array of cartoon animals and landmarks from around the world.
"I get enjoyment from the kids who loved watching me work," Brennan said.
We are absolutely honoured to have James do this for us.
