The Maitland Black and White Committee event invites green thumbs from the region to explore eight wonderful gardens, including four heritage gardens, around Bolwarra, Old Bolwarra, East Maitland, Largs, Anambah and Windella, featuring everything from pots to poolside planting and ponds to paddocks.
From historic Anambah House to the former dairy farm at Bolwarra Heights, this year's gardens
The 36th Garden Ramble runs from Saturday September 21 to Sunday 22, from 10am to 4pm and will include coffee, a BBQ and cake stand at Anambah House.
Here ramblers will be able to take a seat in the rustic style barn and sit back and enjoy the gardens with a coffee.
President of the Black and White Committe, Heather McLaren said,
"How glorious is this rain we are having, it's really going to give our gardens a much needed boost before the visitors arrive on the weekend. It's been another tough year and while the gardens are well established the rain is very much welcomed."
A shuttle bus service will be available. Bookings for the bus and the event can be made through Maitland Visitors Centre.
Heritage Gardens, Bolwarra Cafe, Sharpe's Nursery Merewether and Poppy's Nursery Gateshead will also sell admission tickets.
Tickets are available from Maitland Visitor Centre.
