Just one year and six months old, Danny the dog has spent nearly 250 days patiently waiting for his fur-ever family.
A mixed breed Australian Cattle Dog and Mastiff - Danny came in as a stray with no ID, which meant RSPCA staff couldn't find his family.
The pup, for one reason or another, has spent more than 10 times the average amount of time waiting for his new family.
"Danny is a gentle giant looking for his forever home after finding his confidence with RSPCA NSW," a spokesperson said.
"If you are thinking of adopting Danny you will be rewarded tenfold with the abundance of love he has to offer. Unfortunately he has been at the Hunter Shelter ten times longer than the average dog adoption timeframe."
With Danny's nervous nature, he will need to meet all potential family members before he is able to go home.
The Hunter RSCPA is located at 6-10 Burlington Place, Rutherford.
