Police were called to a property on Hinton Road at Osterley at about 10.30pm on Sunday after the alleged threat was reported.
Earlier in the evening, two men were involved in an altercation at the property.
Police said one of the men then retired to a granny flat where he allegedly threatened the other man through the window while holding a rifle.
Officers arrested the 57-year-old man and seized two guns and ammunition during a search of the premises.
He was charged with common assault, stalk/intimidate intend fear/physical harm and being the holder of a category A or B licence but not having approved storage.
The man was granted conditional bail and an apprehended violence order has been put in place.
