It's a move that has undoubtedly paid off, not just for Peter but for the hundreds of adults and children that join his club and master the art of Karate.
The Institute's mission is to 'continually improve people's lives.' Having taken the Business leader of the Year Award at this year's Hunter Region Business Excellence Awards, it's fair to say it's mission accomplished.
The training complex in Rutherford includes over 250m2 of matted floor, hanging bags, all types of martial arts training equipment plus toilets, showers and a full kitchen for birthday parties or functions.
The business has previously been awarded the BEC Recreation/Health Business of the year four times, as well as winning awards elsewhere.
Peter has trained with many great Australian and Overseas martial arts and travels regularly to America to gain the latest technology within the martial arts industry, to bring back to the students.
With classes available for adults and children including Kick N Fit - which is a combination of Kickboxing techniques, Boot camp strategies and X-Fit workouts and girls classes there's plenty of options for all levels of ability.
