The high-energy 80s To The MAX show will hold its first ever performance at Rutherford's The Bradford Hotel on Saturday, November 2.
It's guaranteed to be a night to remember. The 3 hour show has 2 75 minute sets and loads of entertainment during intermission. It will bring together the very best of 80s pop music.
Six professional musicians have teamed up to make this show a reality.
DJ Sax Machine is the ring leader. He is the producer and owner of the show and stars on the guitar as well as the saxophone.
Singers Kristo Michaelson, Asha and Levana bring the vocals to life and are complemented by TK on keyboard and Jared Cavaliere on the drums.
"These professional musicians that have banded together to put on a pop frenzy 80's extravaganza which is totally different to the other hard rock spectacular show that goes around called All Access 80s. They are a hard rock show and 80s to The Max is all about the pop, the Madonna's and the Cyndi Laupers and all that sort of stuff," Whirlwind Entertainment's Paul Christensen said.
"It's a great show for people who love the 80s era. There's about 14 shows booked so far and The Bradford is the first opener. We want to put on a fantastic night and we'd love to see as many people there as possible. It's a special free show.
"It's a complete fancy dress night - it's optional, people don't have to do it, but it is promoted as a complete 80's fancy dress spectacular where people can win prizes for best dressed male, female, best dressed couple, best crazy hair."
The show will feature music from a range of 1980's artists that is guaranteed to get a crowd on the dance floor.
It will include songs from Duran Duran, Bananarama, Cyndi Lauper, The Buggles, Dirty Dancing, Kenny Logins, Soft Cell, Dead Or Alive, Pseudo Echo, Simple Minds, Prince, Rick Springfield, Eurythmics, Kylie Minogue, Human League, Mi Sex, Flock of Seagulls, The B52's, Katrina and The Waves, Madonna, INXS, Whitney Houston, Huey Lewis and The News.
The show will incorporate a projector screen, laser and special effect lighting and staging to help make the event a memorable occasion.
The free event starts at 8.30pm and finishes at 11.30pm. The show will play at Singleton Diggers on December 14 between 8pm and 10.30pm, at Beresfield Bowling Club on December 20 between 8pm and 11.30pm and at Weston Workers Club between 8.15pm and 11.45pm.
