The rematch of last season's grand final descended into a no-contest as the Sixers suffered a diabolical batting collapse, losing their last six wickets for just one run from their last 13 deliveries to succumb for just 73 in 14.4 overs, their lowest-ever score.
New Zealand import Amelia Kerr (3-8) was the chief destroyer on Saturday night while Jess Jonassen (2-12), Grace Harris (2-15) and Sammy-Jo Johnson (2-16) chipped in to help Brisbane defend their 6-165 with ridiculous ease.
Johnson removed dangerous duo Alyssa Healy (13) and Ash Gardner (10) as the Sixers slumped to 4-50, leaving captain Ellyse Perry to pick up the pieces.
Fresh off her match-winning 81 in the season-opener against Sydney Thunder, Perry needed to replicate her derby masterclass.
With the asking rate climbing, Perry (27) skied Jonassen to Kerr in the outer to make it 5-72 before the lower order crumbled.
Earlier, the Heat built their innings around star opener Beth Mooney, whose 50 put Brisbane in a strong position before Laura Harris produced the late fireworks.
Teenager Hayley Silver-Holmes (2-35) threatened to apply the clamps on the Sixers' middle order before Harris flourished, thumping an undefeated 36 off just 17 balls to put the home side to the sword.
