Traffic lights have been introduced at the eastbound approach in a bid to allow westbound motorists easier access onto the roundabout.
But early feedback indicates that by stopping eastbound traffic, an easier path has been created for vehicles exiting Church Street, making it harder for westbound motorists to enter the roundabout.
Mercury staff noticed on Monday morning that the westbound queue at the roundabout was particularly bad.
Mercury readers have also said - both before and after the lights were installed - that Church Street is the real issue and believe the traffic lights should have been implemented there instead.
