The son of Dyna Double One and Tick Away Fire has won three from three wearing the blue rug and comes into the race with a sizzling 24.90 seconds win from box four over the same journey last week.
"That is the quickest dog I have put around Maitland and I have been going there for many years,'' Moroney told thedogs.com.au.
"Pandemonium has been lightly raced due to a wrist problem but he is over that completely now and I plan to take him back to Maitland and then nominate him for Richmond or Wentworth Park.''
Last start 400m winner Foxami Muzza is stepping up in distance for Raymond Terrace trainer Ken Catford and shapes as the dog for Pandemonium to beat if he gets away cleanly from his box one draw.
Foxami Muzza was having his first start since a win at The Meadows in Victoria in May to clock 22.24s to win over 400m at Maitland last Thursday and if his form holds up over the 450m he is in with a great chance.
The first of nine races on Thursday kicks off at 4.09pm and the last race is at 6.54pm.
Star in making
The trend of Maitland's annual maiden race series the Ladbrokes Future Stars being a star maker has continued with yet another potential champion in the making in the form of the Michelle Sultana-trained Drink Shoeys.
The 2017 Future Stars final produced the talented Sky Wave, which finished third in the inaugural final of the world's richest greyhound race the Million Dollar Chase last year while 2018 Future Stars winner Good Odds Harada won the Million Dollar Chase for owners Frank and Tracey Hurst two weeks ago.
Drink Shoeys showed he has the potential to be every bit as good as Sky Wave and Good Odds Harada when he clocked a best-of-day 22.06 seconds to win last Thursday's 400 metre Future Stars final by four and a quarter lengths from Ray Aslin's Shadow Chief and Tracey Hurst's Winking Nick.
To put Drink Shoey's performance into context Sky Wave won the 2017 final in 22.35s and Good Odds Harada clocked 22.25s to win last year.
Drink Shoeys is raced by four shareholders of the First Past The Post Syndicate, who also own Drink Schooners, also trained by Sultana for 18 wins.
"While Thursday's race was only 400m Drink Shoeys will get 500m for sure but I won't be pushing him too soon,'' Sultana told thedogs.com.au.
"His run home time on Thursday was 6.35, which all the Maitland regulars said was simply sensational.
"Frank Hurst, who trains Good Odds Harada, had Good Odds Diana in the Future Stars and she set a fast pace, leading early and clocking a first split of 8.20, which is flying.
"My bloke clocked 8.29 chasing her but he got home strongly," Sultana said.
Record run
Congratulations to Sawyers Gully trainer Darryl Thomas and his talented youngster La Grand Quality on a 450 metre track record run at Maitland last Thursday.
La Grand Quality clocked 24.56s to just edge out the 24.59s that Pindari Express set back in July 2018.
This year's Grafton Maiden winner is now unbeaten in his three Maitland starts.
