Hancock made 118, including 16 fours, and Porter fired off 117, with 13 boundaries, in a 233-run partnership which set up their teams total of 7/271 on day one of their two-day match against Wine Country at Allendale.

It was Hancock's second century of the under-16 season. He made 114 against Eastern Suburbs Blue in the opening game of the season. His highest score to date was 149 for Hunter Valley in 2017-18.

The Eastern Suburbs Green duo have played together at Easts and on the representative scene for several years now, playing up in age groups along the way. They had a partnership of 132 for Hunter Valley against Lismore in January, 2018.

It was Porter's first century in local cricket. He has scored seven 50s with his previous best 56 in fourth grade last season.

There were a number of big innings in the junior ranks with Sam Bailey making 69 not out for Karuah & Tea Gardens against Western Suburbs in under-12 Division 2. Bailey's teammate Thomas Long made 43 not out.

In the same game Wests' Ryan Heggs made 54 not out and Heath Connell 40 not out.

Karuah won the high-scoring game by 13 runs, posting 3/164 from their 20 overs while Wests made 5/141.

Thornton's Brock Nardelli made 53 not out in Under-16s Division 2 against Kurri Weston.

There were two hauls of five wickets and three of four across the age groups.

Tenambit Morpeth's Aziah Ingham starred with the ball taking 53 in Kookaburra Under-11s in the local derby

Gresford Vacy Colts bowler Fletcher Hermann took 5/10 against Dungog in Kookaburra Under-10s.

Tenambit Morpeth under-10 William Coxt took 4/5 in the derby.

Western Suburbs bowler Brayden Lucas took 4/9 against Northern Suburbs in under-16s and Norths under-11 Hugo Strachan took 4/15 against Clarence Town.
