Love It or Hate It, hosted by Andrew Wu and Peta van Drempt, is a music themed game show featuring hit songs from the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
From 7.30pm to 9pm tonight, you can take a trip down memory lane at the Maitland Repertory Theatre with the one-night-only show.
Mr Wu said the show was a new concept and the performance would act as a preview.
"It will let us see how well the concept works and how we can improve it for the future," he said.
"The show features a range of hits from the past four decades so there will certainly be a nostalgia element."
This show plays on the modern world of immediate reactions with audience feedback a feature of the performance.
"I wanted to create a show that catered to the social media generation's fascination for reacting to things," Mr Wu said.
"The song list has been designed to include songs that split audience opinion, so there may also be a bit of friendly rivalry involved."
Mr Wu said sharing a love of live entertainment with local audiences was a huge motivator for him.
"I feel that the live arts are under threat from broadcast and streaming services and that we need to keep promoting this to the public as much as possible," he said.
Tickets are $25.
