A man has allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.168 after colliding with a power pole at Largs on Sunday night.

The 45-year-old man was charged with high range drink driving after the collision on Church Street just after 7pm.
Police were called to the scene of the crash, where they spoke to the man. Police claim that he admitted to drinking a bottle of wine earlier in the day.
He returned a positive reading at the scene and was taken back to Maitland Police Station where he allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.168.
