The 31-year-old man was arrested about 6.30am on Monday in relation to the break-in at Anna Bay on Saturday. He was also charged over two other break-ins which occurred in the Maitland area last month.
In the Anna Bay incident, police said car keys were found inside the home and used to drive a Ford Fiesta through a garage wall and onto a safe in a wardrobe, causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage.
The safe was unable to be opened, but $2000 cash, a diamond ring, jewellery and credit cards were taken from the home.
