The road into The Levee was blocked this morning due to a burst water main that flooded the road.
Earth Market chairwoman Amorelle Dempster said volunteers and farmers would do whatever they could to ensure the fresh food arrived on time.
"If it means we have to do it manually and carry the produce in that is what we will do," she said.
"The market will go ahead, we will find a way. We will make it there."
Ms Dempster urged shoppers to come and support the farmers who bring their produce to the twice-monthly market.
She said farmers in the Maitland area were feeling the pinch of the drought and it was affecting their food production.
"Shoppers have a responsibility to help our farmers, who have gone to a lot of trouble trying to grow food in these conditions," she said.
"We need people to come out and support them today and buy their food."
The market begins at 12.30pm.
