MAITLAND residents should get ready to jump in with the launch of the city's first Dive In Cinema this summer.

The inaugural Dive in Cinema program will roll out at East Maitland Aquatic Centre over three Friday evenings on January 10, 17 and 24. Each evening will feature a water themed movie suited to different audiences including kids and families, older children and families and adults.
The first movie to be screened will be Aquaman.
"East Maitland Aquatic Centre has such a unique offering so it's fantastic to be able to roll out the Dive in Cinema at the venue this summer," Maitland mayor Loretta Baker said.
In pool and out of pool tickets will be available for $10 and $5 respectively, with tickets on sale on Thursday, December 12. All attendees will have access to the pool and other activities, including food trucks. before the movie commences, and can bring floating devices such as tubes or floating chairs.
