Police are investigating a break-in at a Rutherford business where a glass door was believed to have been smashed with a shopping trolley.

The break-in took place at Rutherford Newsagency sometime between 6pm on Monday and 5am on Tuesday.
Police said the offender gained entry by smashing the glass front door, possibly using a shopping trolley.
A drawer from the cash register containing the shop's float was then stolen from the premises.
Police are following up CCTV footage and urge anyone who may be able to assist with inquiries to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Maitland Police on 4934 0200.
