Hundreds of people flocked to The Grand Junction Hotel on Saturday afternoon to show their support for the brave men and women who are fighting bushfires in the Hunter and across the state.
Marketing director Zack Hearn said he was pleased with the turnout and knew that the generous community would do its best to raise as much money as possible.
"It was amazing, the community support was what we expected because our community is awesome," he said.

"Hundreds of people came and it went really, really well. Almost all of our locals that we had spoken to had said they would come down at some point."
Conor McCamley (pictured) joined a packed lineup that included Ngariki, Lydia Seymour, Nicholas Connors, Johnston City, Gleny Rae and Magpie Diaries.
"We had eight hours of free live music as well, so all credit to the musicians who came down and performed," Mr Hearn said.
