In a fine team effort with the bat and ball, Maitland reached their target of 156 with one-wicket and 11 balls to spare at Jack Collins Oval
Ben Parkinson took 3-21 off nine overs, Jay Boyd 2-15 off seven and Baylee Borrow 2-25 off 10 to dismiss Newcastle for 155 in the 49th over.
Maitland were forced to battle for every run as they posted 9/156 in 48.1 overs. Thomas Page top scored with 31 and Brayden Lucas made 27 as Parkinson and Borrow made 22 and 21 respectively.
The under-15s fell short by 64 runs against Manly-Warringah at Manly. Jett Lee took 3-14 and Patrick Stewart 3-29 as Manly made 8/183. Maitland made 119 with Stewart making 35.
The under-14s had their first win beating Northern District by 10 wicket after dismissing the visitors for 68 at King Edward Park.
Rees Gibson took 3-13 and Jaxon Brooks 2-17. In reply Lachlan MacIntyre was unbeaten on 41 and Gibson 16 not out as Maitland reached 0/72 in the 9th over.
Maitland under-13s made 6/148 and dismissed NWS Hurricanes for 84. William Scanes, Paarth Goswami, Bailey Holstein and Toby Smith took two wickets each. Oska Greentree was 46 not out, Andrew York made 35 and Hayden Lucas 23.
Maitland under-12s made 3/138 and bowled NSW Hurricanes out for 91. Ryder Howard made 47, Cameron Barker 21 and Samuel Holz 20 not out. Rohan Power, Aiden Gibson and Barker took two wickets each.
