The Magpies kick off their campaign in a 2019 grand final rematch against Edgeworth at Jack McLaughlin Oval on Sunday, March 22.
Edgeworth defeated Maitland 2-0 in the grand final, but Maitland finished three points clear to take out the coveted premiers trophy.
The Magpies host the return clash at Cooks Square Park on May 31.
With the Jets Youth moving to the NSW NPL and no club promoted, the NNSW NPL will drop to 10 teams and from 22 rounds, with byes, to 18. The league also reverts to a five-team finals series from a four-team, home and away semi-final format.
All Maitland's fixtures are on Sunday afternoons apart from round 14 against Lambton on a Saturday afternoon. Their first home game is against Adamstown Rosebud on March 29.
Their next fixture at Cooks Square Park is not until May 10 when they host Lambton Jaffas.
The first installment of the El-Clasicoal derby between Maitland and the Weston Bears is at Cooks Square Park in round nine on Sunday, May 24.
The Bears host the return leg in the final round of the regular season on August 16.
The Bears kick off in the season opener against Valentine on Thursday, March 19, from 8pm at Weston Park.
The Bears opening three games are under lights, with Saturday 6pm games away to Newcastle Olympic on March 28 and then at home to Broadmeadow Magic on April 4.
Their round four game is away to Lambton on Saturday at 2.30pm. Their draw then reverts to all Sunday fixtures.
Also new in 2020, Charlestown City Blues and Hamilton Olympic have changed names to Charlestown Azzurri and Newcastle Olympic respectively.
NNSWF will partner with Bar TV to stream all NPL NNSW first and reserve grade matches.
Thornton Redbacks kick off their Herald WPL season with an away game against Adamstown on Sunday, March 8 at 3pm.
With Thornton Oval not available because of cricket, the Redbacks first home game, in the 21-game season, is against Newcastle Olympic on Sunday, April 5.
They have a four-game stretch at home from April 26, to May 17.
The NEW FM League One season also kicks off on the weekend of March 6-8. Thornton Redbacks have a bye and Cessnock Hornets host Singleton Strikers at Turner Park on Sunday, March 8 at 2.30pm.
The Redbacks first game is away against Belmont Swansea on Saturday, March 14 and they travel to Cessnock in round three on Sunday, March 22. The Redbacks first home game is on April 16.
