Primary producers have been able to claim up to $40,000 in transport subsidies per financial year and can now add an extra $10,000 on top of that.
Close to 15,000 subsidy applications have been received since it began last year and that has put more than $120 million back into farmers' pockets.
The news comes as 99.9 per cent of the state remains in drought and farmers have their toughest weeks ahead of them. Scorching summer temperatures take a huge toll on pastures and water resources.
Paddocks are barren across much of the state and water resources are dry or drying up.

NSW Agriculture Minister Adam Marshall announced the measure on Thursday, saying it would help farmers transport fodder, stock and other eligible farm essentials.
"We know our farmers are doing it harder than many have ever experienced and while other states like Queensland are removing their subsidies, here in NSW, we're putting more money in to support those who are the backbone of our State," Mr Marshall said.
"The increase in the cap will give many farmers, who were approaching the threshold, some much-needed breathing space."
The extra $10,000 is available now for eligible farmers.
Mr Marshall said the government would review the cap again in 2020 and lift it again if needed.
"The transport subsidy has been a hugely popular program, in fact it's by far the most popular delivered as part of our $3.9 billion drought response," he said.
"We can't make it rain, but we will continue to adapt our support measures for as long as it takes to get our hard-working farmers through these unprecedented conditions."
