Two international speedway solo riders will take on the tough challenge of winning the 2019 Jason Crump Classic Cup at Kurri Kurri Speedway on Boxing Day.

Erik Riss from Germany and Dan Bewley from England join one of the strongest lineups in the history of the even which honours of three times World Speedway Solo Champion Jason Crump.
This year's Jason Crump Classic Cup includes five Australian Speedway Solo Champions who have won nine titles collectively.
Local favourites Sam Masters from Newcastle and Rohan Tungate from Pelaw Main are in that list along with former World Speedway Solo Champion Chris Holder, Cowra's Brady Kurtz and 2020 Speedway Grand Prix rider and current Australian Speedway Solo Champion Max Fricke from Victoria.
They will be joined by current NSW champion Jack Holder and Victorian star Justin Sedgmen.
The Hunter contingent at the event also includes Josh Pickering, Jye Etheridge, Mason Campton, Isaac Hawes, Kane Lawrence, and Alan and Josh Macdonald
Whilst it will be Riss's second appearance in the event, it will be the first time Bewley has ridden at the Kurri Kurri venue.
Bewley is spending the English winter in Australia and has already competed in events in South Australia and Victoria.
He won the 2019 South Australian Speedway Solo Championship and finished third in the 2019 FIM Oceania Speedway Solo Championship with both events being held at Gillman Speedway in South Australia.
Riss rode in the 2018 Jason Crump Classic Cup scoring two wins in his five qualifying races and making it through to the B Final where he finished third.
"I will be in better shape for this year's event," he said. "It's an incredibly tough field but I am determined to do well."
Riss capped off a successful British Speedway League season, winning the 2019 British Championship League Individual Riders' title..
A big Boxing Day crowd is expected with gates opening at 4pm and racing scheduled to start at 7pm.
